Buying premium streetwear online comes with one question nobody wants to get wrong: will it actually fit? A tracksuit that arrives too tight or a heavyweight hoodie that loses its shape after two washes is a return, a refund and a wasted drop. So here is an honest answer to the fit, sizing and care questions we get asked most about the VELLURE range.
Everything below reflects how our pieces are actually cut and made - heavyweight fleece tracksuits, limited-edition 500GSM hoodies, everyday tees and technical shorts. If you are between sizes, the notes in each section tell you which way to go.
How do VELLURE tracksuits fit?
Our hooded tracksuits are cut for a relaxed, streetwear-led fit rather than a tailored one. The hoodie sits comfortably through the shoulder and chest with room to layer a tee underneath, and the matching pants are cut to fall straight rather than cling. That combination is deliberate: heavyweight fleece holds its own shape, so a relaxed cut still reads structured instead of sloppy.
The VELLURE tracksuit collection covers knitted and cotton-fleece sets, all designed to be worn as a coordinated fit. If you want a cleaner, closer silhouette, order your usual size. If you want genuine drape and layering room, take the next size up.
How does the 500GSM Signature Hoodie run?
The Grey Acid-Wash 500GSM Signature Hoodie is our heavyweight limited edition, and 500GSM fleece behaves differently to a standard hoodie. The fabric is dense and substantial with very little give, so it does not stretch into place the way a lightweight sweatshirt will.
Order your usual size for a boxy, true-to-cut fit. If you normally size down in hoodies to keep things fitted, do not here - the density of the fleece means there is nowhere for the fabric to go. Size up if you want a deliberately oversized look or plan to wear it over a hoodie-adjacent layer.
Do the tees and shorts run small?
No. The VELLURE T-shirts and shorts are cut for an everyday, easy fit - closer to the body than the tracksuits but not tight. The Blue Signature Aero T-Shirt is a lightweight everyday tee, so it moves rather than holds, and it takes its normal size without issue.
The Born to Go Fast T-Shirt & Shorts Set is a matching cotton co-ord built for warm-weather wear, and the Vision Over Noise Nylon Shorts are a lightweight technical short designed for movement. With nylon, there is no shrink risk and no give, so use your true waist measurement rather than sizing down.
What about the women's fits?
The Women's Pleated Halter Sports Bra comes in four colourways and is designed for both training and everyday wear. It is a fitted style, so take your usual sports-bra size rather than sizing up for comfort - the halter construction is what gives you the support and adjustability.
Which size should you order if you are between two sizes?
Tracksuits: go up. The relaxed cut is designed to accommodate it, and the fleece will not stretch into a smaller fit. 500GSM hoodie: go up only if you want volume. Otherwise take your true size. Tees: take your true size. Technical shorts and nylon: take your true size by measurement, not by guess. Sports bra: take your true size.
If you are still unsure, measure a piece you already own that fits the way you want, lay it flat, and compare shoulder-to-shoulder and waist measurements against our size guide. It is a two-minute job that removes almost all of the risk.
Do VELLURE hoodies have drawstrings?
No. Our hoods are finished without drawstrings, so there is nothing to pull loose, tangle or fray. It is a cleaner look and a more durable finish, and it is consistent across the range. If you have been trained by other brands to expect a drawcord, this is a deliberate difference, not a missing part.
Do the hooded tracksuits come as a set?
Yes. Our hooded tracksuits are sold as coordinated sets - a matching hoodie and pants in the same colourway. The Cream Vision Over Noise Hooded Tracksuit pairs a relaxed hoodie with open-bottom pants, a front pocket and a separate phone pocket, while the Brown Vision Over Noise Hooded Tracksuit is the same heavyweight build in a deeper tone. The British Racing Green Tracksuit is a pullover style rather than a zip-up, so plan your layering accordingly.
If you prefer a lighter, technical layer, the Contrast Windbreaker Tracksuit is cut in contrast panels for standout layering over a tee or hoodie.
Will heavyweight fleece shrink in the wash?
All cotton fleece can move slightly with heat, and 500GSM fabric has more weight to lose than a light sweatshirt. You will not get a size change out of it if you follow two rules: keep the temperature low and keep the heat out of drying. Treat the fabric as the premium material it is and it will hold its cut for years.
How should you wash and care for VELLURE pieces?
Fleece and hoodies: wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener - it coats the fibres and flattens the loft that gives heavyweight fleece its structure. Do not tumble dry; dry flat or hang in the shade, reshaping the hood and cuffs while damp.
Tees: cold wash, inside out, and turn printed or branded areas away from direct heat. Iron on the reverse, never directly over graphics.
Technical shorts and windbreakers: cold wash, low spin, hang to dry. Avoid hot irons entirely on synthetic panels.
General rules that apply across the range: never bleach, never dry clean, and always separate dark colourways like British Racing Green and Brown from lighter pieces like Cream until you know how they behave. Wash tracksuits as a set so the hoodie and pants age at the same rate and stay colour-matched.
Keep the fit you paid for
Premium streetwear should still feel like premium streetwear after a season of wear. Check your measurements before you order, size up where the cut asks you to, and care for heavyweight fleece the way it deserves. Get those two things right and the pieces do the rest.
